Motorist facing crossbow charge

Police allegedly found a crossbow in the boot of a car in Geraldton last night.

Police said the weapon was found when they stopped a Holden Commodore sedan about 11.25pm, on Chapman Road, Bluff Point.

A 27-year-old Meekatharra man has been charged with carrying or possessing a prohibited weapon.

He will face Geraldton Magistrate's Court at a later date.
