Police chase leads to arrest

A 24-year-old Bluff Point man chased by police on foot was arrested in Spalding yesterday morning.

It is alleged the man had been actively avoiding police detection after failing to appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court recently.

He is facing charges of escaping lawful custody, aggravated assault, criminal damage, providing false details to police, stealing and trespass.

More charges are expected to be laid.

He will appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court later today.
