Nikki Boyes has become the youngest person appointed to the WA division of the Australian Funeral Directors Association.

Mrs Boyes joins Dianne Tinetti (Northam), Deanne McLeod and Bernadine Brierty (Perth) as part of the first-ever all-female leadership group of the organisation.

The owner/operator of Mid West Funerals in Geraldton with husband David, Mrs Boyes is the senior vice-president of the WA branch of the AFDA.

She joined Mid West Funerals five years ago, inspired by the support the company founder, her grandmother Faye Blanchard, had shown to families grieving their loved ones.

A member of the Geraldton Cemetery Board, Mrs Boyes attends countless training and educational events and addresses communities about grief and the importance of quality funerals.
