Geraldton country rock duo Henry & Ranahl rocked the Gascoyne Hotel in Carnarvon on Friday night in the first stop of their Western Australian tour.

The band will now head to Perth, playing at the Langford Tavern on May 27 and 28, before making their way to Karratha for two gigs on June 3 and 4.

The band features country rock duo Henry Skeen and Ranahl Jimbidie, and last year they added drummer Derek Councillor Jnr and ex-Fitzroy Xpress Hall of Fame bass player Daron Keogh.

Keogh said they were hoping to do more gigs in Geraldton but were unable to at the moment due to staff shortages.

“Yeah, can’t wait to do a big show in in Geraldton,” Keogh said. “We’ve locked in the Goldfields so we’ve got two gigs in Kalgoorlie and one in Coolgardie.”
