With the women down in Perth for country week it was all men’s action in round seven of the Geraldton Hockey Association.

Casuals maintained their dominance this season as they swept aside Australs 6-0 with Dan Golding, Lachy Camerer, Ted Kerr, Will Bateman, Brent Allen, Ian Purvis all scoring for Casuals to go 7-0 for the season.

Murchison stunned the second placed Rovers to win their first game of the season 4-1.

Shaun Wheatland scored a double while Daniel Lennard and Matthew Chamberlin added one each for Murchison.

Rovers lone goal scorer was James Van Niftrick in a loss that sees them drop to third following the Saints’ 3-2 victory over Yacht Club.

In men’s A-reserve there was double-header action with a mixed bag of results across the board.

Casuals won their first match against the Rovers 3-1. Angus Grant scored twice before Casuals lost to second-placed Yacht Club 3-2 with Jay O’Sullivan scoring a hat-trick for Yachts.

In a bottom of the table clash the Saints accounted for Murchison 3-0 with two goals to Chris McNaught and one to Andrew Golding.

Rovers bounced back from their loss to Casuals, feasting on the winless Murchison 11-0.

Jordan Cooc scored four with Nathan Kietzman and Mac Hoefhamer both getting doubles.
