Christmas Messages: A challenging year sprinkled with memorable moments says Three Springs Shire president

2022 was another challenging year sprinkled with memorable moments. In early February we saw the community come together to fight loudly and passionately for the continued services provided at North Midlands Hospital. From a patch of weeds to a beautiful park on the eastern entrance to town, Dominican Park is a fantastic space to gather, ride and relax. The winter rains were just what the farmers ordered, bringing a generous harvest and filling the Yarra Yarra Lakes to the brim. Three Springs Football Club celebrated 100 years of competition — congratulations! The activities of the Shire wrapped up with the Community Christmas Tree and the first-ever projection of a family movie on the CBH silos. It was an amazing event and we look forward to inviting everyone to our TS Silo Projections in 2023. On behalf of the council, a huge thank you to everyone who makes the Shire tick — your energy and effort, whether you are behind the scenes or on the streets, does not go unnoticed. Thank you to the councillors — your contribution is encouraged, respected and most importantly valued. A big thank you also to the families who support us all.
