Expats in the pink at lake clean-up
A group of Chinese expatriates took it upon themselves to clean up the world-famous Pink Lake near Port Gregory at the weekend.
The popular attraction, approximately an hour’s drive north of Geraldton, draws scores of tourists to the Mid West each year.
But an unsightly litter problem caused by a lack of toilets and bins at the site has repeatedly been the source of negative attention in the past year.
Geraldton residents Cynthia Wong and June Tang, who organised the clean-up, were among 10 volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and gave a helping hand on Saturday.
