Local players selected to represent at State level for State country championships

Emma Bowen And Lauren Newman have been selected for the State country hockey team which will be competing in the Hockey Australia Country Challenge in Albany.

The 2022 Challenge will consist of 12 teams (six men’s and six women’s teams) from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and the Australian Defence Force.

It provides a pathway for players to represent at a national level with the best performers selected to participate in a national representative tour.

Cam McKoy was also listed as a train-on for the men’s team with the competition to start on August 6 at the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association.
