McVee has nine goals in five games for Rovers this season in between his other footy commitments while Hagan has six goals in four matches and has been one of the side’s best.

WA made the most of their first match in 688 days with a powerful display, and were the better side for three of the four quarters, led by the on-ball brigade of Kade Dittmar, Angus Sheldrick, Josh Browne and Matt Johnson.

There were stars all over the ground as midfield bulls Dittmar and Sheldrick set the tone early with trademark physicality against pick one fancy Jason Horne-Francis.

First-round Subiaco draft fancy Johnson was as classy as ever with his ball use and East Fremantle ball magnet Browne got better as the game went on.

AFL Academy pair Rhett Bazzo and Jacob van Rooyen were outstanding in defence, racking up the intercept marks and one-on-ones.
