Racers suited up for the fourth and final round of the Goldstar Karting Series at the Midwest Go Kart Club last weekend.

More than 100 drivers laid down rubber across 11 different classes and divisions and the series was decided over two days of hard and fast action in tricky weather.

A qualifying round was followed by three rounds of heats before the finals were decided in the sunnier conditions of Sunday morning.

In the premier KZ2 division, set across a gruelling 25-lap enduro which saw 11 competitors not finish, Samuel Dicker emerged victorious, leading for all but one lap to come home 1.29 seconds ahead of second-placed Damon Papasergio.

In the KA2, twins Dylan and Sebastian Guest finished one and two to enable Dylan to overhaul a 74-point deficit and take out the championship from Zane Rhodes.
