Stacey frocks up for a big win
Stacey Reynolds wears shorts and thongs to work.
It makes sense. Much of the week, she cleans ablution blocks and does whatever is necessary at the Shark Bay Caravan Park, which she owns with husband Mick.
When she gets a chance to down tools, Ms Reynolds loves to frock up at the country races.
She won the best dressed lady award at the Carnarvon and Geraldton cup meetings this year and at the end of the month will be at Perth’s Ascot for a State competition.
A win there, and Ms Reynolds will be off to Royal Ascot in England next year.
Last week she got into training for the November 30 event — at Flemington, Melbourne.
“I went over with a few friends from around WA who also love Fashions on the Field,” she said.
“It was amazing, I made the semifinals in the three days I entered. Derby Day was a black and white coloured outfit, Melbourne Cup day was a bright coloured one and Oaks Day was floral, very ladylike.
“And I backed a winner, Star Missile. I love grey-coloured horses and picked up $108.”
