Police have located a two-year-old child after the car they were sitting in was reported stolen from a hotel in Perth’s east.

The child was inside a later model dark blue Hyundai i30 hatchback when it was reported stolen from Sanno Marracoonda Airport Hotel, on Kanowna Avenue East, in Redcliffe, about 2pm on Friday.

An urgent alert was sent out by WA Police to locate the car and missing child.

“Significant police resources were utilised to locate the child and the vehicle,” police said.

The child was located safe and well at a residence in Belmont and the vehicle was located at an address in Bayswater.

After further investigation, police found the car was not actually stolen and no criminal offences were detected.
