Satanic pedo ring accused fears he will be ‘bashed’ in custody as ‘horrific’ details are revealed in court

WARNING: Distressing content. A man accused of being involved in a satanic pedophile ring is worried he will be “bashed” in custody as “horrific” details of the case were revealed in court. Police claim the alleged pedophile ring shared “devastating” child abuse videos of infants and children. Six NSW men, including a former police officer, have now been charged over their alleged involvement in the satanic ring, with police on Tuesday arresting a man they believe to be the final NSW-based man allegedly involved. A further 145 people with alleged links to the pedophile network have now also been identified by investigators. Referrals are being made to other law-enforcement agencies in Australia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe, New Zealand, South America, and Southeast Asia. Colin Milne, 62, was on Tuesday arrested at a Woollahra home over his alleged involvement in the pedophile ring. He fears he will be “bashed” in custody, telling the Bail Division Court of his concerns after he was denied bail on Wednesday afternoon. “I have been told I’m going to be bashed … if I go to prison,” Mr Milne said. “I do fear for my safety.” Horrific details of the alleged offending were revealed in court on Wednesday. “The (alleged) facts reveal extremely graphic, violent and depraved nature of the child abuse material found on the accused’s devices, including videos depicting infants, babies and children … and real adults,” the prosecutor said. Mr Milne’s bail was refused over what the magistrate called the “depravity” of the material detailed in the alleged facts of the case. “Having read the (alleged) statement of facts – which detail unfortunately in some significant way the content of the videos – I can say that they are concerning and horrific. “In somewhat nearly 20 years of sitting as a judicial officer I haven’t read many worse than this, quite frankly. “It’s the depravity of the material that I have real concerns in terms of the most vulnerable in our community and for their safety, quite frankly.” The magistrate ultimately refused bail, as she was not satisfied any bail conditions could address her concerns. Mr Milne’s lawyer had claimed his client would be vulnerable in custody due to his age and that strict bail could mitigate any concerns about Mr Milne being released on bail. Mr Milne is facing nine counts of using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material, two counts of using a carriage etc to access child abuse material, two counts of person disseminates bestiality material, disseminate animal crush material, possess prohibited drug, participate in criminal group contribute to criminal activity, and two counts of contravene requirement in Section 3LA order. The ring allegedly shared “devastating videos of children aged from infancy to 12 years old being sexually abused online”. “These (videos) were particularly devastating and they used symbols and rituals around it in the discussions that they were having about abusing children,” NSW sex crime squad commander Jane Doherty previously told reporters. The ring is accused of possessing, distributing and facilitating child abuse material through a website. Police allege the ringleader is Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta-Mills, 26, who was arrested and charged in December. Former NSW police officer David Turner is also facing a string of charges over his alleged involvement in the pedophile ring. Mr Turner has been suspended from his NSW government job, news.com.au previously revealed.
