Narrogin’s Anzac Day events on Saturday will include a dramatic Royal Australian Air Force flyover at Memorial Park.

The town will have its traditional dawn service, starting at 5.30am, followed by a gunfire breakfast, a ritual followed by small towns all over the country.

Two horses in World War I uniforms will lead the parade at 10.30am, and they will be joined by members of HMAS Stirling who will provide the catalfalque party — the ceremonial guard.

The main service will start at 11am, at Memorial Park.

Last year’s event attracted a crowd of 300 to hear Australian army serviceman Cpl David Baker read an Anzac tribute while bugler Emily Ballantyne delivered the Last Post.

There are a multitude of other Anzac Day services and events across the region.
