Great Southern police charge 26-year-old from Doubleview with reckless driving after alleged 165km/h speeding

Police have charged a Perth man after he was allegedly caught driving 55km/h over the speed limit on Albany Highway near Williams on Saturday evening. Great Southern traffic officers charged the 26-year-old man with reckless driving exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more on a length of road after he was allegedly caught speeding by police near Williams. Police say the man, from the Perth suburb of Doubleview was allegedly detected speeding about 5.15pm on Saturday. He was allegedly driving at 165km/h. The maximum posted speed limit on Albany Highway is 110km/h. The man is due to appear before Narrogin Magistrates Court on May 5.
