IN PICTURES: Welcome to Narrogin 2026 event celebrates connection and community with newcomers in the region
Wheatbelt locals invited new arrivals to the region for the town’s Welcome to Narrogin event, held at the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre on Thursday to showcase what’s on offer in the area.
More than 250 people met from 4.30-6pm to peruse 78 stalls that provided newcomers with information on how to get involved in the town, including volunteering, employment, education and services.
For those interested in athletics, clubs such as the Netball and Districts Association and the Narrogin Football Club provided guides on how to make the most of sporting opportunities, whether as a player or support behind the scenes.
Narrogin Art Group promoted its offerings and displayed artwork from its members.
Arts Narrogin and The Narrogin Reparatory Club advertised much-anticipated performances and workshops where community members could bask in the spotlight themselves.
Narrogin volunteers spearheading the Quarter Midget Youth Speedway Project decorated their stall with tall flags to bring in newcomers for the 2026 season, with young racers set to rev their engines in March.
Environmentalists educated the room regarding native wildlife and how to protect beloved animals like the numbats, while advertising the wonders hidden in Dryandra and local bush trails.
