Michelle Obama is launching a podcast.

The Former First Lady will host “The Michelle Obama Podcast”, which is expected to feature candid and personal conversations with a focus on topics concerning relationships and health.

“My hope is that this series can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we’re all trying to answer in our own lives,” she said in a statement.

“Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations — and hard conversations —- with the people who matter most to them.

“That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another.”

In a teaser video, Obama said she would talk to some of the people she is closest with to discuss “the relationships that make us who we are,” adding, “what I love about these conversations is that they are topics and issues that we’re all dealing with no matter what’s going on whether that is a global pandemic or a nationwide reckoning with race.”

Guests will include Marian and Craig Robinson, Obama's mother and brother; late-night host Conan O’Brien; top Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett; journalist Michele Norris; and Dr. Sharon Malone, who is married to former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder.

Since leaving the White House, Obama released her memoir Becoming in 208, which has sold more than 11.5 million copies worldwide. Her book tour of the United States was chronicled in the Netflix documentary of the same name, which was released earlier this year.

Her new podcast is the first title in the ongoing collaboration between Spotify and Higher Ground, a production company founded by Barack and Michelle Obama.

In 2019, Higher Ground Productions released its first film through its partnership with Netflix , “American Factory” which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Last year, the former president and first lady also partnered with Spotify to produce exclusive podcasts for the platform.

“It’s been a tough year and I hope this podcast can help us explore what we’re going through and spark new conversations with our loved ones,” Obama tweeted following the announcement.

The podcast will exclusively debut on Spotify on July 29.
