A Wandina woman allegedly tested positive for methamphetamines while driving in Geraldton this morning.

Police stopped the 37-year-old in her car on Shenton Street, near Geraldton Hospital, about 10.15am and carried out a road side drug test, which allegedly revealed a positive test for methamphetamine.

She was taken to Geraldton Police Station where a further test allegedly confirmed the presence of the drug.

Charges are pending an official analysis of a sample.
