Hoons on e-bikes have left a trail of destruction at a western suburbs golf course, leaving members at their wits’ end.

Cottesloe’s Sea View Golf Club president Jim Green said the offenders had caused thousands of dollars in damage.

“The damage bill here has already run past $5000 but those who look after the course are more concerned the kids could do damage to themselves or someone else,” he told 7NEWS.

Sea View Golf Club’s Tristan McCallum added, “they firstly were using the golf course and tee boxes for their ramps and now it’s escalated to them actually doing their burnouts. Their skids.”

Hundreds of dollars worth of property has also been damaged or stolen from the club.

Mr Green said when members have tried to approach them “all they’ve got is a mouthful of inappropriate language.”

And Mr McCallum said “when you have to look at this type of damage and disrespect for the area itself it’s extremely frustrating.”

According to the golf club, police have not been able to catch the culprits.

Mr Green said he hoped the parents intervene.

“The parents of these kids might be really quite surprised that it’s their kids involved. We would like parents who have kids with e-bikes just to sit down and have a chat,” he said.
