Perth’s northern suburbs are facing a miserable start to the morning after a technical fault brought Yanchep Line trains to a standstill.
Trains have been cancelled between Clarkson and Yanchep, with the disruption also causing delays on the Mandurah Line.
Transperth first warned of the problem about 5.15am on Wednesday, initially saying replacement buses would be organised.
The latest update confirms train replacement buses are now running between Clarkson and Yanchep.
But commuters have been warned that the buses may not connect with timetabled bus and train services.
Passengers have been urged to allow extra travelling time and expect ongoing disruption.
The cause of the technical issue has not been revealed.
Transperth said further updates would be provided as the situation develops.
