Charles’ wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is also at Balmoral and her spokesperson said it is “looking more likely” that her planned engagement to open a new visitor centre for the Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders, on Friday (09.09.22) will be cancelled.

Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday (08.09.22) doctors were “concerned” about the queen.

Officials said in a statement: “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.
