Geraldton detectives charge 54-year-old for allegedly firing homemade gun at a full car in Sunset Beach

Geraldton detectives have charged a man in his 50s for allegedly firing a homemade gun at a vehicle full of people last week. On Saturday, May 13 at about 6.30am, WA Police allege a 54-year-old man discharged a homemade firearm at a vehicle with several occupants inside on Nyrang Road, Sunset Beach. Police understood the accused and occupants were known to each other. Geraldton detectives seized a homemade firearm in the area of the incident and arrested the accused man days later. A 54-year-old man has been charged with possessing an unlicensed firearm and discharging a firearm to the danger of, or in a manner to cause fear to, the public or any person. The man is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on Monday, June 26.
