Shooting accused faces Geraldton court

A man arrested in Denham this week after a shooting in Midvale appeared in court today.

The 25-year-old from Swan View has been charged with possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation with intent to do grievous bodily harm, failing to stop, reckless driving and not having authority to drive.

He appeared unrepresented in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to face Stirling Gardens Magistrate’s Court on February 15.

He was not required to enter pleas.

A 37-year-old man of no fixed address has also been charged in relation to the incident, in which a 19-year-old man was allegedly shot in the leg last week.
