The Mid West records 162 new COVID cases overnight bringing the total number of active cases to 773
Daily COVID cases in the Mid West continue to seesaw, with 162 new infections recorded on Thursday, bringing the total number of active cases to 773 around the district.
As of Thursday, the total number of active cases in WA was 41,338.
Of the 9314 overnight cases, 4001 were confirmed at PCR testing clinics and the remaining 5313 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
Thursday’s daily update report included two historical deaths, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s, which occurred on April 5 but were only recently reported to WA Health.
Statistics from the week ending April 10 shows 751 people were hospitalised and 28 were admitted to ICU.
The State has so far recorded 320,777 cases since the start of the pandemic.
