Tunes for charity at Broady
Having only just wrapped up its annual gala dinner the Midwest Charity Begins at Home committee has wasted no time in brainstorming its next big fundraising event.
The charity will kick off the inaugural Tunes by the Dunes gig at the Broady next Saturday, featuring artists including Mike Masse and Jeff Hall, 2 Broke Boys, DJ Sweet Orange,Chicka and Sav and Josh and Alida Crothers.
MWCBAH president Chris Dobson said the first-of-its-kind event would be like a miniature festival.
“We’ve brought the ticket price right down so more people are able to go, and so far there’s been a great reaction,” she said.
“We’ll have fantastic live music along with a festival menu the Broady has designed.”
The big drawcard in the line-up will be US Youtube sensation Mike Masse, who has accumulated more than 58 million channel views, performing alongside Jeff Hall.
Mrs Dobson said they had agreed to play the event after learning about the charity, which provides financial assistance to Mid West families doing it tough with serious illness.
Tunes by the Dunes runs from 4-11pm.
