Perth families are in for a massive day out as the heart of the city transforms into an action-packed playground for the return of the Telethon Family Festival on Sunday, October 18.
Stretching all the way from RAC Arena to Yagan Square, the free community celebration will bring non-stop excitement, carnival thrills and star-studded fun.
A major crowd-pleaser making a triumphant return is the Lotterywest Kids Carnival opposite RAC Arena, where children can jump on free carnival rides, play sideshow games and grab classic show bags without parents having to break the bank.
Just down the road, Yagan Square will be transformed into a vibrant family fun zone featuring free face-painting, glitter stations, and a magical live mermaid and merman show performed inside a giant 12-metre aqua tank.
Kids and parents will also get the chance to engage with their favourite screen icons in the Telethon meet and greet area, with children’s superstars Emma Memma and The Wiggles taking the stage alongside fan-favourite WWE wrestlers and Channel 7 stars.

Meanwhile, live music and high-energy percussion displays by roving entertainers will be found alongside food trucks and a sausage sizzle.
Beyond the entertainment, the festival offers visitors a chance to see the real impact of Telethon in action across the community.

Attendees can try out adaptive sports in the Aidacare All-Abilities Sports Precinct, cheer on endurance riders pushing through the eight-hour Alcoa Cycle Challenge and learn about life-changing local organisations in the APM Charity Zone.
A special highlight of the day will see the BuildNow Foundation take on a live race-against-the-clock challenge outside RAC Arena to construct 10 custom wheelchair-accessible garden beds and elevated sandpits for local children living with severe mobility difficulties.
Thousands of families are expected to stream into the CBD from 10am-4pm for one of the State’s biggest and most beloved free celebrations.
