Police are hunting for those behind this crazy high speed car surfing stunt which occurred north of Perth late last month.

On Tuesday police released photos - captured by a speed camera - showing a man on the bonnet of a Ford ute. The man appears to be drinking out of a bottle as the car speeds past the multanova.

What makes the stupid stunt most alarming is the fact the Ford utility was captured by the speed camera travelling at 119km/h.

The mindless exploit was recorded on Indian Ocean Drive in Gabbadah, about 82km north of Perth, on Saturday October 23 at 2.23am.
