Great Eastern Highway crash: Serious collision in Irishtown shuts road about 10km north of Northam

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in WA’s Wheatbelt region.
First responders rushed to the scene after reports a car and truck collided on Great Eastern Highway, Irishtown — about 10km north of Northam — about 8.45am on Wednesday.
The West Australian understands the driver of the car is being treated for critical injuries.
The truck driver is uninjured.
Great Eastern Highway between Northam Toodyay Road and Northam Pithara Road, Northam, has been closed.
Main Roads has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution and seek an alternate route.
