A crash on the Kwinana Freeway caused traffic mayhem for city-dwellers heading down south for the Easter long weekend.

The crash, reported by Main Roads at 2.59pm, occurred on the freeway southbound at Manning Road in Como.

The right lane was blocked off, causing traffic to come to a crawl.

Crews cleared the crash by 4.21pm, but traffic remains slow on approach.

Another crash in West Perth is causing congestion for motorists travelling east on the Graham Farmer Freeway.

Reported at 4.02pm, the crash has forced the right lane to be shut off from motorists.

Towing services are at the scene.

Earlier on Thursday Main Roads posted to X to remind motorists of double demerits that will be in force from Thursday until Monday April 6 at 11:59pm.
