Perth traffic: Gridlock across metropolitan area as breakdowns add to misery

Traffic delays continue to cause headaches across Perth, with breakdowns on Tonkin Highway and Kwinana Freeway adding to the woes.
The left lane of Tonkin Highway southbound before Roe Highway at Perth Airport has been closed.
The driver of the broken down vehicle is out of their car and traffioc is slow on approach.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution.
Traffic is also slow on Kwinana Freeway northbound after Canning Highway in Como, with a breakdown closing the left lane.
Motorists are advised to be careful on the Mitchell Freeway entry southbound from Burns Beach Road in Joondalup, with a garbage bags between lanes.
Main Roads WA is also urging drivers to be extra cautious on Kwinana Freeway northbound before Beeliar drive in Success, with some motorists swerving to avoid debris, which is across all lanes.
There are still delays on Mitchell Freeway southbound at Shenton Avenue in Currambine after a crash.
The accident initially resulted in the left lane being closed but the site has now been cleared.
