New charges have been laid against a second man over child sexual abuse allegations, with the man believed to be known to Joshua Brown — who is accused of sexually assaulting children at a childcare centre.

On Tuesday, Mr Brown was charged with over 70 child sexual abuse charges, relating to alleged incidents at a childcare centre in Victoria.

The State Government has recommended that 1200 children seek STI tests. Police allege Mr Brown worked at 20 centres across the state between January 2017 and May 2025.

As investigations continue, information has come to light about a second man who has been charged by police over child sexual abuse offences and bestiality offences.

Michael Simon Wilson from Wyndham Vale in Melbourne’s west was arrested on May 12 and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on September 15.

Mr Wilson and Mr Brown are reportedly known to each other.

Mr Wilson’s alleged offences, which include rape and bestiality, are not believed to involve childcare centres or any of Mr Brown’s alleged victims.
