Police are urgently seeking information into the whereabouts of a 33-year-old Canadian man who has vanished from his mine camp in the Pilbara.

Ambrose Walton was staying at the Marandoo Mine Camp — near Tom Price — in the Pilbara and has not been seen since Tuesday.

The 33-year-old had planned to travel to Brockman 4 Camp on Tuesday, as well as meet a friend in Karratha at 2 pm. However, he never arrived at either location.

Mr Walton — who has a very strong Canadian accent — is believed to be travelling in a white Toyota Hilux utility with registration 1GYE661.

The vehicle is fitted with a black bull bar, light bar, UHF aerial, solar panel on the roof, and rear roof-mounted mining lights.

The rear canopy has a large Schlam Engineering decal on the side, along with a fluorescent yellow mining site decal — SE94.

The front doors of the Hilux also have a Schlam decal on them.

Concerns are held for Mr WALTON’s welfare, and anyone who sees him or has any information relating to his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 131 444 immediately.
