Driver dies in Brand Hwy ‘head-on’ crash in Cape Burney
One person has died and another has been seriously injured in an horrific two-car crash south of Geraldton this morning.
The crash happened on Brand Highway several hundred metres south of Greenough River Road, Cape Burney, about 8am.
It is believed the cars collided head-on. There were no other passengers.
One person was taken by ambulance to Geraldton Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
Brand Highway is closed in both direction from Hamersley to Rudds Gully roads in Greenough.
It is not known yet what caused the crash. Major Crash is investigating.
It is the second fatal crash on Brand Highway in less than a month, after a 41-year-old man died in Cataby on December 22.
Two children were also injured in the crash last month about 170km north of Perth.
