Geraldton man looks forward to returning home after 287 days in Indonesian jail
Jake Drage says he is looking forward to coming home and seeing his family and friends.
The Geraldton 24-year-old was released from a West Java prison today after serving 287 days over a fatal motorcycle accident.
Mr Drage told Seven News the the past nine months had been “like a yo yo, all up and downs”.
“I've never been held down for so long before,” he said.
“(I) never planned on coming to jail and I don't plan on going back.”
He said it had not really sunk in yet that he was finally free.
“I’m sure once I'm past immigration and I get back on home soil, arrive at the airport and see the family and friends, I definitely think it will sink in then,” he said.
