The Perth mates from the southern suburbs bought their winning ticket in Geraldton from Jungles News and Lotto in Wonthella.

Lotterywest on Wednesday confirmed the $2,080,763.55 prize had been claimed.

A Lotterywest spokesman said the pair wished to remain anonymous abut were suitably excited by the win, which they hadn’t realised until Sunday.

“Rain, hail or shine, our numbers go on every week,” one of the friends said.

“I was checking our numbers in the newspaper and saw that we had four and was pretty rapt that we’d won something.

“Then I saw that we had all six and thought I must be dreaming.”
