A woman in her 60s died on Sunday after being pulled from the water at Kalbarri’s main beach.

She was helped to the shore of the Murchison River by other swimmers after they noticed she was in trouble about 5.40pm.

Police say she lost consciousness and paramedics rushed her to Kalbarri Health Campus but she could not be revived.
