Teenager taken to Perth Children’s Hospital after Welshpool crash

A young teenager has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Perth’s south-east.

The boy had just gotten off a Transperth bus on Welshpool Road near Kewdale Road when it is understood he was struck by a passing car about 3.10pm on Tuesday.

He suffered serious injuries to his head and potentially his spine, and was taken by ambulance to Perth Children’s Hospital under priority.

Initial information suggests his injuries are not life-threatening.
