A Drummond Cove woman died when a car and a truck collided on North West Coastal Highway near Geraldton this morning.

Police said Chloe Louise Rumble, 23, who was driving a black Kia Cerato, died at the scene.

Her 11-month-old child, who was restrained in a car seat, was taken by St John Ambulance to Geraldton Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Kenworth truck and semi-trailer, a 49-year-old man from South Yunderup near Mandurah, received minor injuries and was also taken by St John Ambulance to Geraldton Regional Hospital.

The accident happened just before 9.30am at Glenfield, north of Geraldton, near the intersection of Beattie Road.

Major Crash investigators are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the car or truck & semi-trailer before the crash to call Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
