Walyalup (Fremantle) villain Rory Lobb could be on the move again, with the former Fremantle forward reportedly set to request a trade out of the Western Bulldogs.

After finishing as the Dockers’ leading goalkicker in 2022 Lobb sensationally left the club to play for the Bulldogs having tried and failed to move on in 2021.

However, it appears his time at the Kennel could be up after just two seasons with Lobb set to request a trade to another Melbourne club.

A shift would put Lobb at a fourth club, after he began his career with Greater Western Sydney.

“Rory Lobb will request a trade at the end of the season regardless of how the rest of the season goes,” Channel 9’s Tom Morris said

“He hasn’t been selected on a weekly basis and that’s the backbone behind this request.”

Having initially been brought over to play as a forward ruck alongside Aaron Naughton, Lobb played 20 games last year but has been on the outer this season.

He has played just three games, last featuring in the Bulldogs’ loss to the Dockers in round seven, as he’s fallen behind in the pecking order with Aaron Naughton, Tim English and draftee Sam Darcy all ahead of him.

However, Lobb could be in for a repeat of the 2021 off-season with the 31-year-old still having two years on his contract with the Bulldogs not going to just give him away.

“The club does have a history of holding players and they won’t trade him less for anything less than what they believe is market value,” Morris said.
