Future NBA star Alex Condon will make his Australian Boomers debut on home soil in July's FIBA World Cup qualifiers against Guam and the Philippines.
Condon has been named to join American-born NBL legend Bryce Cotton as new faces in green and gold under head coach Adam Caporn.
The 21-year-old, who was a key piece in Florida's 2025 NCAA championship, is one of Australia's brightest prospects, projected as a late-first or mid-second round pick at this year's NBA draft.
The 211cm centre has previously represented the Australia Select team but the clash with Guam at Perth's RAC Arena on July 3 will be his full Boomers debut.
The Boomers face the Philippines three days later at the same venue in the hunt for a spot at Qatar 2027.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Tyrese Proctor is the only one of Australia's established NBA players selected in the 12-player squad, which is made up mostly of NBL-based talent.
Proctor joins Angus Glover and Taran Armstrong in the back-court, while Olympian Jack McVeigh, World Cup veteran Mitch Creek and Asia Cup champion Josh Bannan add experience.
"We've brought together a strong mix of experience, emerging talent and athletes earning their first opportunity with the Boomers, which makes this window particularly exciting," Caporn said.
"The FIBA qualifiers are critically important for our program and we're approaching this camp and these games with great intent.
"We're looking to continue developing our systems, strengthen the connections within the group and represent Australia with pride and competitiveness."
Caporn also has an eye towards the longer-term goal of competing for a medal at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
"Every camp and game gives us an opportunity to build greater cohesion, establish habits and continue strengthening the identity we want the Boomers to represent," Caporn said.
BOOMERS SQUAD: Taran Armstrong (Tasmania, NBL), Josh Bannan Tasmania, NBL), Bryce Cotton (Adelaide, NBL), Alex Condon (Florida, SEC), Mitch Creek (U-BT Cluj-Napoca, EuroCup), Angus Glover (SEM Phoenix, NBL), Ben Henshall (Perth, NBL), Jack McVeigh (Cairns, NBL), Elijah Pepper (Perth, NBL), Keanu Pinder (Cairns, NBL), Tyrese Proctor (Cleveland, NBA), Wani Swaka Lo Buluk (Illawarra, NBL).
