Brisbane grand final hero Logan Morris may be a three-time premiership player and an All-Australian, but he will never live down the story of his debut as the Lions carried their flag celebrations into Mad Monday.

Morris famously made his AFL debut the same day he’d already played a VFL game and had smashed a McDonald’s meal ahead of playing for the Lions.

Despite the moment coming three years ago, his dressing up as McDonald’s mascot, Ronald McDonald, stole the show of the Lions’ third premiership Mad Monday in as many seasons.

It wouldn’t have fazed the 21-year-old after two of his three goals in Saturday’s decider at the MCG came in the remarkable four-minute burst that won the game for the Lions.

In fact, his first of the two majors gave Brisbane the lead back after trailing by 17 points with four minutes left, while his second sealed the Lions’ place in AFL immortality.

Another player enjoyed the celebrations, dressed as politician Pauline Hanson, while Josh Dunkley donned Lycra to impersonate a Colombian cyclist.

Polarising star Lachie Neale posted a pic of the three premiership cups as well as a selfie biting down on his medallion.

It was later revealed Lions skipper Harris Andrews had encouraged coach Chris Fagan to take the Cups home to avoid any damage with players, including Morris, drinking from them.

Will Ashcroft, who was the architect of the Dockers’ brutal demise, dressed up in a pink button-up shirt patterned with flamingos while also wearing a large pair of goggles.

Cigars were also very prominent in the celebrations.

It was alluded to that players had paired up and picked costumes for each other.
