Gina Schumacher, the daughter of legendary Formula 1 driver Michael, has again celebrated her famous father’s birthday on social media with a heartbreaking message.

The message was also accompanied by a beautiful family photo of Michael, his wife Corinna, a young Gina and her brother, Mick.

In the beautiful family photo, proud father Michael appears delirious with happiness. The family dogs also feature.

It gives a rare insight into the happy family life of the Schumacher’s before Michael’s devastating skiing accident in 2013 that left him with serious injuries requiring around-the-clock treatment and assistance.

Michael was born January, 3 1969. This year he is celebrating his 57th birthday.

“The best forever. Happy birthday papa ❤️,” Gina wrote on Instagram.

Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public since the skiing tragedy.

It is thought he is totally bedridden in the family mansion on Lake Geneva in Switzerland, and can possibly communicate with his eyes.

There are rumours that the family take him on holidays to their secluded villa on the Spanish island of Mallorca, but that is unclear.

In fact, in 2024 there was a rumour that Schumacher attended Gina’s wedding to Iain Bethke at the family’s luxury villa in Mallorca.

Schumacher’s exact health condition is unknown by anyone outside a close-knit inner-circle — which includes a select group of medical staff — at the wish of his notoriously private family.

In a 2021 documentary, Corinna gave a rare update, revealing Schumacher was still undergoing rehabilitation and is “different, but here” following the life-changing injuries.

Schumacher is one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time, winning world titles in 1994, 1995 and five consecutive years from 2000 to 2004.

He also racked up 71 fastest laps and 155 podiums during his racing career.

In March last year Gina and her husband gave Michael a grandchild when baby Millie was born.

Gina regularly competes in equestrian events around the United States and Europe.

And each year she shares memories of her father on his birthday.

“Happy birthday Papa! Throwback to one of many of our adventures,” she wrote in 2024, sharing a photo of herself with Mick and Michael before a skydive.
