Claremont have even more incentive to qualify for the 2022 WAFL Women’s grand final after the Tigers won the hosting rights to the season decider.

Revo Fitness Stadium will host all three grand finals on Saturday July 2, with Rogers Cup, reserves and league premierships set to be decided.

The venue was selected following a tender process, with consideration given to the quality of match-day facilities, location and planned activations.

East Fremantle also submitted a bid, the undefeated Sharks already securing the minor premiership with one round to play.

Claremont chief executive Darcy Coffey said the club was excited to celebrate their long-standing history of female football.

“It’s probably been two decades in the making since we started incorporating the Inaloo Piranhas into our club and inviting them to use our facilities and then eventually rebranding as Claremont,” Coffey said.

“I’d like to think we’re right up there in terms of the program we deliver for women’s football. We’ve got a really good footprint without our region and within the football club as well. The grand final is a good reward for all of the people who’ve made it what it is and it would be great to get some, if not all of our teams there on the day.”

Kick off for the grand final is scheduled for 2:45pm.
