West Coast will dust off the distinctive ochre colour for the first time in almost a quarter of a century for next month’s Gather Round clash against Geelong.

The Eagles on Tuesday revealed they would throw it back to the orange, gold and blue strip for the Round 5 meeting with the Cats at Norwood Oval.

It’ll be the first sighting of the guernsey since it was used for a string of predominantly away games between 2000 and 2002.

Some of West Coast’s all-time greats began their AFL careers in the ochre era, including Dean Cox, Chris Judd, Darren Glass and Daniel Kerr.

The jumper has long been divisive among Eagles fans, with it considered a cult classic by some and a forgettable throwback to a challenging era by others.
