Three places to eat like Emily in Rome
Emily in Paris looks very comfortable in Italy.
For season five of the Netflix series, Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins, daughter of musician Phil) is leading the new Agence Grateau.
Netflix has revealed many of the filming locations, and we’ve picked three places to eat like Emily . . .
Zuma Restaurant
There are lots of rooftop restaurants in Rome, which locals and visitors favour for breakfast. And Emily enjoys a rooftop breakfast with her Italian partner, Giancarlo (played by Raoul Bova) and Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu). Zuma is a real restaurant with a view of the Spanish Steps, which are by Palazzo Fendi. zumarestaurant.com/en/rome
Rome Osteria
Osteria are Italian eating places that come from a history of serving simple, local food and wine. (The word comes from the Latin “hospitium”, meaning a place of hospitality.) Back in Rome, Sylvie eats at Osteria del Barbiere with her friend Princess Jane (Minnie Driver), after running into her on an evening stroll. Once again, this is a real osteria, which prides itself on truffle-tasting treats. osteriabarberini.it
Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese
When the girlfriends of Emily’s eccentric colleague Luc (played by Bruno Gouery) realise they’re being two-timed, they dump him in the Settimo restaurant. It is on the rooftop of the Sofitel hotel, at Via Lombardia, 47, 00187. Sitting seven floors above the city, diners can see the Pantheon, St Peter’s Basilica and Villa Medici. There’s a buffet breakfast for $80 (45 Euro). settimoristorante.it/en
