Isla Fisher seen for the first time since split from Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen

Perth-raised Isla Fisher has been spotted for the first time since announcing her split from husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

The 48-year-old former Methodist Ladies’ College student was photographed on Wednesday when she was seen out walking her dog on a morning coffee run in London.

The actress, who sported casual summery attire, didn’t appear to be wearing her wedding ring and seemed to be in an important phone call.

The sighting of the Confessions of a Shopaholic star comes after she announced her break-up from her long-time husband and Borat actor Baron Cohen.

“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage,” a statement on Fisher’s Instagram said.

“We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

It was also reported this week that Fisher had secretly consulted a top celebrity lawyer Fiona Shackleton two years before the pair’s divorce.

A source told The Sun: “Isla has known for some time the marriage was over, and after some difficult conversations with Sacha, made the decision to consult a divorce lawyer.”

“This was back in early summer, 2022.

“Fiona Shackleton was recommended by mutual contacts, and Isla was put in touch with an associate at the office.

“It was also suggested she seek out a lawyer in the US, where the couple have a home.”

The news comes after a public and messy fight between Aussie actress Rebel Wilson and Baron Cohen, following the revelation that a chapter in her newly released memoir Rebel Rising was about the 52-year-old star.

Wilson teased last month that one of the chapters in her book was about a high-profile actor, who she claimed was an “a..hole” and was trying to stop the release of her book.
