An awkward radio interview with Keith Urban is back in the spotlight following news the country singer has split with Aussie actress Nicole Kidman.

The break-up made global headlines on Tuesday when TMZ reported the A-list power couple — who have been together for nearly two decades — have been living apart since the beginning of summer.

The news has come as a shock to fans around the world, with Urban, 57, and Kidman, 58, all smiles when they were last photographed together in June.

However, Urban’s uncomfortable ending to an interview with Adelaide Mix 102.3 radio station in July now appears to have been a sign of what was really happening in his marriage.

Urban was in the middle of a discussion with host Max Burford when he he agreed to play a game called Wall of Truth.

Burford then asked Urban about his wife and how he feels about her acting in intimate scenes with other men.

“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron, having these beautiful love scenes?” Burford asked Urban.

The question was met with silence before the call was abruptly ended, leaving the hosts bewildered.

“I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question,” a producer said.

It’s understood Urban’s publicist later denied claims the music star or his team disconnected the call over the line of questioning, saying it was simply because time had run out.
