Hours after a blockbuster performance at the AFL grand final in Melbourne, beloved US rapper Snoop Dogg made his way to Sydney’s west for a DJ gig which left some fans bitterly disappointed.

The West Coast hip-hop sensation dished up some of his biggest hits to a crowd of nearly 100,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, before heading up to Bella Vista in Sydney’s northwest for a late night DJ gig.

Marketed as an “unmissable, once-in-a-lifetime” event, the newly built Bella Live venue sold out of tickets in just a few hours when they released them earlier this month.

But the much-anticipated gig was marred when the star of the show failed to rock up until after 2am, with disgruntled Sydneysiders taking to social media to express their frustration.

“Absolute joke. We were told he was a no-show and left. I want a refund,” one punter said.

“I waited for four hours before I had to leave. Refund!” another said.

Tickets for the event went from anywhere between $80 for a first release of general admission to VIP Booths which started at $3000.

Though there was no time listed for DJ Snoopadelic – Snoop Dogg’s DJ alias – doors opened at 9pm almost five hours before the Grammy nominated rapper showed up.

When he did eventually arrive, the rapper turned disc jockey dished up a fairly eccentric range of tracks for his patient fans.

From his hit track Drop it Like It’s Hot to Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and capping it off with Three Little Birds by Bob Marley, the ‘Doggfather’ played it all.

Snoop Dogg will cap off his trip to Sydney with gigs at Greenwood Hotel and Cargo bar on Sunday night, both of which have sold out.
