Two lucky Aussies score $15m each in huge Oz Lotto win

A man who scored an enormous $15m windfall in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw has revealed he “always thought” he was going to win.

The man from Horsham, Victoria held one of two division one winning entries in the $30m draw.

He said he was glad he answered the call from The Lott officials about his life-changing win.

“I looked at the number and I’ve been ignoring a lot of calls because they’re mostly scams, but something made me think I’d better answer this one” he said.

“Honestly, I always thought I was going to win.

“Ever since I was in my 20s, I’ve thought ‘one day, I’m going to win’. It’s just taken a while.

“I’d better go tell my wife – I don’t think she’ll believe me. I don’t think we’ll sleep tonight.”

The man said he was planning to help his children and grandchildren pay off their homes.

He also said he was thinking about getting a caravan and a new car for a potential lap around Australia.

The other winner is based in Queensland, but has not yet been identified.

The winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw were: 11, 32, 40, 42, 38, 29, 34 and the supplementaries are 15, 3 and 47.

Six tickets across Australia will also share in the division two prize pool worth $448,521.

Last month, a Tasmanian man become that state’s biggest Lotto winner when he claimed the $70m jackpot.

There have been 310 division one winning Lotto tickets across Australia this year taking home almost $1bn in prize money.
