City of Albany rangers put out call for help over nuisance dog roaming and defecating in Little Grove

City of Albany rangers are asking for help identifying a nuisance dog after reports from Little Grove residents that it was wandering into properties and causing issues. The rangers put out the request for information on Tuesday after the dog, described as a golden retriever, had been seen on the road and inside properties for several nights in a row. The dog was seen roaming around Marine Terrace and Queen Street and entering properties to defecate in the gardens. City of Albany manager of public health and safety Scott Reitsema said he understood the difficulties the dog has posed for Little Grove home owners. “We understand this has been a frustrating situation for residents, and we are doing what we can to identify the dog’s owner,” he said. “We encourage anyone with information to contact our Ranger team so the matter can be resolved and further nuisance prevented.
